Meet Andrew Dowie

A determined problem-solver with two decades of working experience in government, Andrew Dowie aims to deliver real results for the people of his community as Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor—Tecumseh.

Andrew was elected to the Ontario Legislature in 2022 and 2025, and previously represented Ward 1 on the Town of Tecumseh Council from 2014 to 2022. He serves as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks and previously served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade. 

Before entering politics, Andrew was the Senior Engineer and Drainage Superintendent for the City of Windsor, responsible for policy research and the technical design and contract administration for construction projects. Andrew is the only licensed professional engineer currently serving in the Ontario Legislature.

As MPP, Andrew champions community-building including the new Windsor-Essex Acute Care Hospital, highway interchanges at Banwell Road & E.C. Row Expressway and Lauzon Parkway & Highway 401, and provincial investments in developing thousands of manufacturing and trades careers for the people of Windsor-Essex. A strong champion for reducing hospital wait times and improving diagnostic capabilities, MPP Dowie has delivered a new MRI machine, additional linear accelerator, and renovated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Windsor Regional Hospital.
